Safety

People and equipment can easily be brought into a danger zone when situations are misjudged. There is no way to reverse a mistake when a load is hooked on and picked up; there is often no opportunity to stop and start over. The lift has to proceed, and those mistakes are costly. With objective advice, we will honor the customers’ preferences, and with ingenious solutions, we will pursue safe heavy lifting. VanGenderen Canada Inc. provides the employees with a program with all the necessary tools to perform their jobs with the highest level of safety, such as toolbox meetings, field level risk assessments, safe job procedures, job hazard analysis, etc. All employees will be trained to use these tools to their full capacity and effectiveness, and VanGenderen Canada will hold their employees accountable for their performance of using this program.

VanGenderen partnered with the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA) and obtained their Certificate of Recognition (COR) in 2011. We are members of Crane Rental Association of Canada and are qualified with Avetta (formerly PICS). Our company is signed up with WCB and is supporting the PIR (Partner in Injury Reduction) program.
